10 Great Places to Eat on Kauai

Kauai is one of the most beautiful places in the world and their food scene is incredible too. Although it’s not a large island, it’s full of wonderful places to eat. Check out these 10 great places to eat on Kauai on your next trip!

1. Coconut Corner, Waimea

The perfect stop to or from Waimea Canyon is Coconut Corner. It’s a great fruit stand that also offers lunch, fresh coconut, delicious banana bread and snacks to go.

2. Keoki’s Paradise, Koloa

Must get the Hula Pie! It’s a signature. Also, if you’re on an earlier dining schedule coming from the mainland, go for their early bird dinner specials!

3. Nourish Hanalei, Princeville

Nourish Hanalei is a fantastic restaurant with a gorgeous overlook in Princeville, perfect for a nutritious and delicious meal after hiking the Kalalau Trail or visiting Tunnels Beach. It’s really peaceful to sit at the tables to enjoy the view. This was one of my favorite meals! The food is healthy, nourishing and beautiful.

4. Puka Dog, Poipu

For a delicious and simple meal at Poipu beach, head to Puka Dog. Vegetarian option available too! I ate the vegetarian hot dog and it was delicious. We brought our meal across the street to enjoy it at the beach.

5. The Fresh Shave, Koloa

Shave ice is a quintessential Hawaii treat and The Fresh Shave is a fun place to get a fun and elevated version. The courtyard is a fun spot to sit and enjoy your treat. They’re constantly evolving their menu with new fun flavors so make sure to check it out for the latest!

6. Kiawe Roots, Lawai

A great off the beaten tourist route spot is Kiawe Roots. This was one of my favorite casual lunch spots. The food was healthy, delicious and the drinks were spectacular! Plus the decor is beautiful so it’s a great setting for a meal.

7. Java Kai, multiple locations

Delicious spot for breakfast or brunch! It’s super popular and there are a couple locations around the island. We visited the Kapa’a location as we drove from the south side of the island to the north side as it helped to break up our visit. We enjoyed the outdoor seating and highly recommend the açaí bowl and breakfast bagel!

8. Holey Grail Donuts, Kilauea

A must visit for delicious donuts when on the north side of the island! This popular spot is on multiple islands but I loved visiting on Kauai right before we checked out the beach on the north shore.

9. Sandwich Isle Kauai, Princeville

I love a solid sandwich and Sandwich Isle offers delicious, classic sandwiches. Located in Princeville, it’s the perfect lunch spot when exploring the north side of the island.

10. Aloha Liege Waffles, Lihue

Perfect for a fun breakfast! It’s definitely a sweet start to the day but well worth a visit when on the south side of the island.
